• Recognise limitations of initial response equipment and facilities.
• Know methods of extinguishing different types of fires.
• Understand organisational/facility documentation, policies, and procedures related to emergencies.
• Identify possible hazards and types of emergencies.
• Understand Work Health and Safety (WHS) and Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) requirements, including risk mitigation strategies.

They will practice:

• Communicate effectively with occupants, emergency personnel, and stakeholders.
• Comply with facility policies and procedures during emergencies.
